New Testament Verse

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Never give up on prayer.

Why do you think it is difficult at times to pray?

A Prayer for Today

As far as the east is from the west, so you have removed our sins from us; so you have removed our sins from us. So, let us say to any bitter roots within ourselves, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea!” You have cast all our sins into the sea; we are forgiven completely. So we may forgive others – without worry, without reserve, thoroughly, utterly.

Today, Lord, would you let the beautiful breeze of your Holy Spirit move over our lives, refreshing us and bringing new hope? We rely on your Spirit, Jesus; we rely on your might and power and cool water of life. Restore our souls, renew our minds, guide and keep us. Guard our hearts and minds in you, Lord!

We have an abundance to give – our time, our finances – for you have given richly and we are in you. Give us the “single eye” of generosity and let us see the utter ridiculousness of stinginess and worry. Amen!
